The Oscars were amazing. There were a lot of first time winners last night and they were well deserved. The host, Jimmy Kimmel, was entertaining, especially in the opening act. He poked fun about celebrities and had some choice words to say about our 45th President. Also, Justin Timberlake was amazing as always singing his hit; Can’t Stop The Feeling. All of the acts were entertaining, but the fact that this was a live showing had me on the edge of my seat. The bloopers of the night made watching the Oscars worthwhile. I always get excited when there is a live taping of a show because I know there will be some juicy mishaps.
While the Oscars were exciting, so was the fashion. So many celebs looked amazing last night. There were so many eras, prints, and textures represented. A lot of high fashion with classic appeal. I picked out my top five looks for last night that I loved. Comment below on your favorites and what you loved about the looks from the Oscars.
He looked amazing in Ermenegildo Zegna Couture. This is a very classic look, with leather details that make this suit special. I loved the all black look, of course, and the bow ties topped it off. I don’t look at men’s fashion that much, but this suit is blog worthy for sure. The suit served him well as he won Best Supporting Actor for Moonlight.
Viola Davis in Armani Prive. She is such an amazing actress and deserved the Oscar of supporting actress in Fences. This dress is so simple that it is exceptional. Red looks good on her and I love the cold shoulder detail on this dress. She jazzed up the simple look with her gold detailed clutch.
3.Taraji P. Henson
Taraji P. Henson in custom Alberta Ferretti. Another classic look from last night. This dress is everything. I mean, number one; it’s velvet. Number two, she has cleavage of the gods…lol. Taraji is definitely giving us the sexy right now. The cold shoulder is amazing and the high split does her legs justice. Although Hidden Fences was nominated three times she went home empty handed.
Hailee Steinfeld in Ralph & Russo. This was a tough decision, between the number two spot or my absolute favorite of the night. I think it’s because of the halter neckline. I love a pretty dress that happens to be a halter as well. She looked great in this dress with the flower details and the effortless look of the gown. It also has an almost see throughbottom, which is edgy yet appropriate for the Oscars.
Chrissy Teigen in Zuhair Murad Couture. She did it again. Chrissy Teigen was my top favorite look of the Grammys and now here she is again, in the number one spot for the Oscars. Her dress was so pretty. A Zuhair Murad gown in with long sleeves in white and gold detailing. She also has a high split to die for. The train on this dress is amazing. Definitely an A plus.
