Hey Fashionistas! I swear this year is moving. We are one month away from half of the year. So crazy. Well, with a new month, we have new favorites. There are a lot of beauty and hair products that I was feeling last month. Next month I will try to incorporate more fashion. OK, I have a lot of products to talk about. Let’s start.
The Makeup Forever HD Foundation is a gem. It’s a little new in my makeup collection, but so far it’s probably the best foundation I’ve used. I like it because it’s super lightweight and has a medium coverage. I have been on the hunt for a good foundation and this is it. I used to use the Maybelline Fit Me and Urban Decay Naked Foundation. They were great for 2 hours, but then my oil would take over. I have really oily skin and this foundation held up for over 10 hours, along with the Laura Mercier Powder. You get the coverage you want, but don’t feel like your wearing a mask all day. This is definitely going to be my go to foundation, especially this summer. Buy Here
Ok, I know, why is water on the list? Well, water is the biggest beauty tool ever made. All April I have been making sure I drink at least 2 liters of water a day. This does not include my daily tea, coffee, and protein shake intake. It has made the world of difference. My skin is clearer, and when I do get a pimple it goes away within a day or two. Water really does help you stay youthful. Also, my water weight has decreased as well. The more water you drink, the more water your body lets go because it doesn’t need to store as much. I suggest if you are looking for that extra boost to your health or skin, start drinking enough water. Buy Here
Aveda is my all time favorite hair brand. I forgot how amazing this stuff is. I used to use it a lot in college for my curly hair. It is natural and organic. Aveda was one of the first curly girl products on the market that you could trust. The problem is, their products are very expensive. Each bottle is about 20 bucks. So I couldn’t always afford it. Recently, I have discovered Aveda again because I wanted separate haircare products for my straight hair. They have about 6 different lines that cater to your hair needs. I like smooth infusion, damage remedy, and be curly. The Smooth line works really well because it preps your hair from the beginning. With this line, your hair will stay straight, even in humidity. The whole line will cost you about 80 bucks, but its worth it. Buy Here.
If you read my blog, then you know I love me some Bath and Body Works. While in the store I was shopping for a candle and my husband pointed out this one. I didn’t think anything of it until I smelled it. OMG. This candle smells so good. It’s like strawberry lemonade, but better. Just think of a fresh cut watermelon and fresh squeezed lemonade had a baby. As soon as you light it you smell summer. I know the red throws you off, especially if red is not in your house. Like at all, like mine. I just take this out to light it, and put is back in the cupboard when I’m done. Problem solved…no ugly red candle in the way. Anyway, you can get here.
At last, my beats. These are my babies. The Beats By Dre Wireless Headphones are the best. If you are active, then you need these in your life. I wear them when I am working out and drown out the world. A 5 minute charge equals to an hour of play time. Which is always good when you forget to charge them. They are so comfortable and a great way to pass time. If you like listening to music, you should definitely get some. Buy it here.
